Update

Posted by Dax's Mom on September 5, 2010 at 11:09 AM

It's been a while since I've written any updates so here goes...

Its been four months now since we said goodbye to our sweet little boy...its amazing how  time passes yet how it also feels like its been an eternity since we were able to see or hold our son.  David and I have done our best to remain positive and upbeat and to keep moving one foot in front of the other.  We've held a couple fundraisers which were successful enough that we will be able to financially help our first family(s) out soon, for that we are very thankful!

It's been a really busy couple of months and we have so much work to do on this website and planning of future fund raisers.  I feel bad that we haven't been able to devote the time we would like to making this organization really grow but I know we have time and when things settle down a little we will get back to the hustle.  In the mean time I want to thank each of you who have joined, donated and bought t-shirts and bracelets.  We will be adding more items to our web store in the future so please check in often.  We also would like to say that we are open to any suggestions you may have for fund raisers, website information wanted/needed, or anything you feel could help us spread the word, create awareness and bring the needed donations so that we can contribute to research and continue to help families in need.  This organization is extremely important to us, we want this to be successful and we know that without you all that would not be possible.  Thank you again for following our journey and for your continued love and support.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!!

Please help us spread the word this month about how important it is for the community to gain awareness of this TOO often devastating disease.  One cause that is currently going on is through the Pepsi Refresh Project.  Unfortunately at this time this cause does not directly affect Daxton's Fish, but hopefully next year we will have something similar in play and we will be able to compete for a grant of this magnitude!

Please take the time to read the instructions below (it is very simple) and every day vote for ARMS WIDE OPEN, it won't cost you one red cent, but could ultimately save many childrens lives! Won' tyou help be a part of that?

PLEASE HELP ARMS WIDE OPEN CHILDHOOD CANCER FOUNDATION WIN A $250,000 GRANT FROM THE PEPSI REFRESH PROJECT.

ALL WE NEED IS YOUR VOTE!!!

FUND LESS TOXIC THERAPIES FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER WAS ACCEPTED AND ENTERED INTO THE PEPSI REFRESH PROJECT.

VOTING BEGINS SEPTEMBER 1, 2010 and ENDS SEPTEMBER 30, 2010.

EACH PARTICIPANT WILL RECEIVE TEN VOTES A DAY. YOU CAN ONLY USE ONE OF THOSE VOTES PER CHARITY A DAY, BUT YOU CAN VOTE EVERY DAY OFTHE CONTEST FOR THE SAME CHARITY.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS, ANYONE WITH A COMPUTER CAN VOTE, THIS IS NOT EXCLUSIVE TO FACEBOOK.

You can also vote from your MOBILE PHONE by texting 102653 to Pepsi (73774)

WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AHEAD OF TIME AND ARE VERY OPTIMISTIC THAT ARMS WIDE OPEN CAN WIN THIS $250,000 GRANT WITH YOUR HELP.

The Fed Gov. grants less than 3% to pediatric cancer. Even then it's broken down. WE cannot rely on government funding. WE have to raise money to help the research!

Thank you for contributing to this cause, please be sure to pass this along to your friends and family!! Together we can make Childhood Cancer Awareness as popular and well known as Susan G. Koman is for Breast Cancer!!!

With Love and Hope!

Heather

Do you feel the pain of acid reflux? Do you feel a fire inside your chest? Are you miserable? Are you ready for the issues to stop? Continue reading to find out how. Keep reading to learn to control acid reflux for good and to end the misery for good.

You may need to balance out hydrochloric acid amounts in your body if you want to reduce acid reflux and its symptoms. You can do this, for instance, by using sea salt rather than table salt. Sea salt has chloride and minerals that are good for the stomach and prevent acid.

obviously like your website but you have to check the spelling on several of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very bothersome to tell the truth nevertheless Ill definitely come back again. bdkfkkbkegafgece
